IS ALZHEIMER'S THE SAME AS DEMENTIA

Dementia is an umbrella term of brain diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease that cause long term gradual decrease in MEMORY, the ability to THINK & REASON and the ABILITY TO CARE for one self. Other typical symptoms include emotional problems, problems with language, and a decrease in motivation. These brain diseases also include, vascular dementia and Lewy Body with Dementia as well as other dementias and memory disorders.

GOALS OF THE WORKSHOPS

When you leave our workshops you will have a better understanding of the THREE STAGES of Dementia including Alzheimer's disease. You will gain TOOLS that you can implement immediately as well as be introduced to RESOURCES to assist you on this this difficult journey.

Resthill Memory Care

We are a residential facility offering care with a difference for only twenty four people, diagnosed with Dementia related illnesses including Alzheimer's disease or other types of memory impairment. Our two pet friendly homes Robusta and Burkei, are an excellent alternative to nursing homes, retirement villages or home care.
